No, as Six Month Smiles use clear braces with tooth coloured wiring, they straighten your teeth while being virtually invisible.

Are Six Month Smiles braces more Comfortable than traditional braces?

 As they use low force to move your teeth comfortably, Six Month Smiles are more comfortable than traditional braces.  The misconception is that accelerated treatment translates as “tighter” traditional braces to encourage the teeth to move faster.  This is not the case, as Six Month Smiles still use traditional orthodontic mechanics, but emphasising on the aesthetics of your teeth rather than bite position.

Will Six Month Smiles Braces damage my gums, roots or teeth?

 As Six Month Smiles braces are much lighter and few teeth are actually extracted, there are very few risks to the roots, teeth or even gums.

Do I need to wear a retainer?

As with all teeth-straightening treatments, a retainer is needed to keep your teeth in their straight position.  If you would prefer not to wear a removable retainer, you can have a bonded retainer fitted.
